I think Smith & Wesson make the greatest revolvers. I'm not so impressed with their semi-auto pistolas (until the teamed up with Walther, now they make the decent SW-99) S&W offered a deal to NRA instructors a few years back where we could get selected pistols at approx. $25 under wholesale to use for our instruction. I needed one to take the DPS Certification for CHL instructors. I chose the SW686+ with 4" barrel. I shot a perfect score with it the first time I had ever shot it! I recently bought a new SW1911Sc which is the first 1911 style pistol I've owned in 10 years. It is an incredible pistol for the money (under $750) and is quite a beauty too! I liked it so much I bought two more of the Commander size and a full size! I also inherited a Model 52-1 which is incredible, and then I had to have a Model 952. I will admit that I can't shoot it as well as my HK USP Elite 9mm, but it's still a nice shooter. I've recently added a S&W M&P 15 T to my stable. It is an excellent AR15 pattern rifle.
