This page contains some of the reviews I've collected of the Walther P99 vs other pistols including the H&K USP and USP Compact.  They are both excellent pistols, but this page is mainly in response to those that say the USP and USP Compact are more accurate (or "Twice as accurate") as the P99. 

This statement is blatantly false, and these reviews help to disprove that statement.  Magazine reviews of the HK USP Compact 9mm are few and far between, with the .40 more prevalent.  As you can see from the statistics below (being as they are), in only one direct comparison case, did the USP Compact .40 best it's P99 counterpart.  I rest my case...

P99 9mm Test in American Rifleman Jan 97 - Average Overall Group size:  3.01 in. at 25 yds.

P99 9mm Test in Guns Magazine May 97  - Average Overall Group size:  2.60 in. at 25 yds.

P99 9mm Test in GWLE May 98 - Average Overall Group size:  2.79 in. at 25 yds.

P99 40 Test in GWLE Oct 01 - P99, P990 and P99QA tested:  2.65, 2.56, 2.40 respectively at 25 yds, best groups.

USPC 40 LEM GWLE Jan 02 - 3.53 in. at 25 yds.

USPC 9mm GWLE July 99 - 2.97 in. at 25 yds.

P99 vs USP 9mm Gun Tests May 98 - P99:  1.94 in.; USP 9mm:  2.53 in. at 25 yds.

P99 40 vs USP 40 Gun Tests Dec 98 - P99:  3.56 in.; USP 40:  3.23 in. at 25 yds.

P99 40 Gun Tests Nov 99 - Average Group Size at 25 yds:  2.8 in.

P99 9mm Military Frame Handguns Feb 01:  Average Group Size at 25 yds:  3.0 in.

P99QA vs others Gun Tests April 01 - P99QA Average overall group size at 25 yds:  2.37 in.

P99 vs USP Compact DB Handguns 98 - P99 9mm:  2.49 in. at 25 yds.; USP Compact 9mm:  3.08 in. at 25 yds.  All shots fired from Ransom Rest.

P99 9mm DB Handguns 02 - Average Overall Group size at 25 yds (not including shot shell):  2.94 in.

And just for comparison's sake, my favorite pistol tested in P7 M8 Gun Tests Magazine, Oct 99 - Average Overall Group size at 25yds:  2.3 in.
