The Walther P99TA

From what I can surmise from the article, there were Police Pistol trials held in October of 2002 for 25000 units in the German state of Wurttemberg.  They looked at the H&K P2000, the H&K P10 (USP Compact with decocker only), the Sig-Sauer P239 and SPC2009 (SP2009 compact) and the Walther P99/QA/TA and P990.  The H&K P2000 apparently won the overall contract.

A little geography for those who don't know, Baden-Wurttemburg (the origin of this test) lies in the SW of Germany, to the south of Hessen and to the West of Bavaria.

Translated from the Article "Jedem die Seine" in DWJ 12/2002

Most current case is the country bathe Wurttemberg: To 17, October 2002 the assignment commission of the ministry of the Interior communicated that 25000 pistols are procured fur the police force. The choice of the commission, that was affected by the judgment 315 representative asugewahlen police women and policeman with, fell on the Heckler & cook P2000 in the variant V5 (DAO), the special-purpose forces with the variant V1 of the same manufacturer with "Combat Defense Action" Departure system, but to the technical specifications desired.

The Innovation:

Walther as mental ringleaders of the today available generation police weapons may apply for Walthers P99. With the "Anti stress Trigger", not only in double Action, but also in manually linked up single Action the P99 the first weapon exhibits, was a departure way of 14 mm, those the new realizations converted. With fast rate of fire the departure of the P99 remains in rear position to push over with only 5 mm departure way fast and not from the goal to greaten.
