EXCLUSIVE!  First Look at the Walther P99 Compact!

Exclusive new pics of the new soon to be released Walther P99 Compact.  I don't have any details other that what I can surmise from the pics.  Obviously styled after the previously announced SW99 Compact, it is a 10 shot 9mm DAO (?) compact version of the Walther P99.  From the pics, the grip is very similiar, almost identical except for the Walther logo rather than the S&W logo.  The slide is quite different, more in the shape of the P99 bigger brother.  The grip does include a replacement backstrap.  Notice though that the magazines appear to have the Smith & Wesson logo and name on the floorplates of the mags.

Interestingly, the P99 Compact (at least this specimen) is DAO only whereas the SW99 Compact has the traditional Walther designed DA/SA striker mechanism.

I have no details on price, availability or calibers.  Walther has yet to announce it's official existance!
